Steam quits every time I close Skyrim?

I don't know what's causing this, but every time I close Skyrim (or it crashes, as is the case most of the time...) Steam exits and I have to wait for it to fully close before I can restart it and boot Skyrim again, otherwise I get Application load error P:0000065434. It really makes getting back into the game after a crash a major pain in the behind.

 

It might have been caused by the recent Steam update? Some other people's copies of Steam have apparently gone haywire in different ways since it happened...

I had this happen a lot on one of my other games(forget which atm) Verifying my game "Integrity" via steam seamed to fix that issue. Perhaps try the same?

Doing this of course will likely remove/change your mods so keep that in mind.

I tried that, it redownloaded two files but the problem didn't go away. I also reinstalled Steam by deleting everything in my Steam folder except for steam.exe, steamapps and userdata, and the problem continues.
