Stupid question re: bodyslide/FG/BT3

So, stupid question, after modding for years and years, I am now afraid to ask. When building in bodyslide for an installation with FG and BT3 installed, is this correct:

 

1. Select Fusion Girl body/preset, select outfits under group filter, ctrl-click batch-build with morphs selected - make choices if any and apply - go make a cup of tea.

2. I also click "Build" in the middle pane after this is completed (I am not sure this is necessary with morphs selected).

3. Select bodytalk 3 body and preset - click "build" only (not batch build with build morphs).

4. Done.

 

I am asking as as I have no idea when or where I learned to do this.

Well, you are mostly right.  You will need to follow the same steps with BT3 as you did with FG, but make sure to select only the BT3 oriented armors.  When hitting "Build" you are just making it the default body shape that will appear in game.

With this, you're only building the single item that is selected in the dropdown - so it's redundant unless you know/suspect the batch build includes conflicting alternatives (like the body) and you want to make really sure the one being built is the one you want.

 

By the way, questions about BS behavoiur are not stupid - imho it's not really self-explanatory how this works :-\

So, in the same style of the idiot instructions I wrote for a relative for an Ipod (which was 35 steps long), these are my new personal idiot instructions:

 

1. Select Fusion Girl body/preset,

2. Select relevant Fusion Girl outfits under group filter,

3. ctrl-click batch-build + with morphs ticked and select bodyslide output folder (I use MO2, so I use a folder called Bodyslide output)

4. Make choices if any and apply, go and drink tea.

5. Repeat all steps 1-4 for Bodytalk3 - selecting relevant Bodytalk outfits under group filter.

You can also make use of the Outfit Filter and Group Filter.  Located at top/right of Bodyslide screen.

 

Type FG in Outfit Filter and click on Batch Build.  Let Build complete, then type in Fusion in Outfit Filter.  Click on Batch Build and wait for Build.  

This gets most of my clothing mods quickly.  If you have Lazman's clothing replacer installed and are using the FG version, then type Lazman or Laz in Outfit Filter and wait for Build.

You can select BodyTalk separately under the Group Filter if installed.
