Crab lice medicine how to use

How can i use this thing? I have it in household inventory but how you open the inventory while you have a shower and use it?

You have it in the sim's inventory, not the household inventory. Have your sim take a shower, go to the sim's inventory (while they are showering) click on the medicine and pick "use medicine"
