clothing mods with physics

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

i'm looking for clothing mods like bikini's or simple mods that gives some armor designs physics that work with CBBE and CBBE SMP and doesn't require bodyslide in order to match up with CBBE's bodymorph.

and by bodymorph i mean the morph section within the character creation menu in-game.

vanilla armor seems to be able to fit according to for example breast size, thigh size etc

i appreciate any redirections or suggestions for mods that makes this possible

I personally use:

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/16321

and

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/16322

both aren't quite bikinis but are still skimpy, just with a little bit more taste Imo. they are a bit dated but still work just fine with CBBE.

unfortunately as far as I'm aware bodyslide is a hard requirement for most if not all body physics outfits, cbbe or otherwise.

i'm hoping that there is a mod that doesn't require the usage of bodyslide executable. i just kinda wanna install the mod and do the typical sorting and making sure it's good and then use it in game. i use CBBE's bodymorphing in game with the "showracemenu" command with the racemenu mod

If you want your outfits to fit properly, you need to build your character's body in Bodyslide, then batch build the outfits to work with that body. Otherwise, your mod (and possibly vanilla) outfits will clip through your body, or change your body to match their default setup. You can fine tune your body in bodyslide, build it, save it as a preset, and then batch build all the outfits with only a couple clicks. Unless you have a couple thousand outfit pieces, it really doesn't take that long to build them in bodyslide.

The longest it's taken me to batch build all the outfits to my body preset is about 5 minutes, and that was for almost 2000 outfit pieces.

Building the preset that I use took me about 15 minutes.

Face and body decorations took me about another 15 minutes using Racemenu in the game.

i don't even know how to use the executable(bodyslide.) i'm just looking for clothing with added physics that can fit to the customized settings within the racemenu. i use the bodymorph on racemenu to change thigh size, etc.

short version:vanilla armor and clothing fits to the customized body with racemenu CBBE morph section. i'm looking for a mod that adds physics to for example clothing like civilian clothing or the barkeeper clothes, that type of things.

Probably not going to happen, as the physics are an add-on mod for the cbbe body, not the clothing. There are clothing and armor mods that support physics, but if you don't have a physics mod installed, they won't do anything.

as far as using bodyslide, what mod manager do you use?

It should have a drop down menu that will have a start icon for bodyslide (once you have configured it with the Mod Manager). Click on bodyslide, it opens.

Lots of tutorials here, on Nexusmods, and various other places on the internet that show you have to use bodyslide. Takes about 5 minutes to learn.

And if you know how to use the sliders in Racemenu, then you know how to build a body in Bodyslide - it works the same way. Building the outfits to match that body is a simple matter of selecting the outfit in the drop down menu, then clicking 'build' (or Batch Build, if you want to do an entire selection at once, which I highly recommend)

Make sure you have 'Build Morphs' selected so that the outfits will conform in game with any changes that your character's body undergoes.

i use MO2

In other words the short of it is no you probably won't find anything like that, even if you use bodymorphs in racemenu, if your clothes aren't built to your specific body, they're likely all going to snap back to the original cbbe body.

As far as running the executable for bodyslide it's pretty easy you just need to go to edit in your MO2 launcher section(were you launch skyrim or skse from) after installing MO2 and then go to the install directory of bodyslide and set the executable to launch from there.

should be along the lines of:
\AppData\Local\ModOrganizer\Skyrim Special Edition\mods\BodySlide and Outfit Studio\CalienteTools\BodySlide\BodySlide.exe

may vary depending on where your MO2 directory is installed.
