Sexlab not detecting papyrus

Here is my issue, I have the latest version of papyrus(3.9) installed along with the patch for VR, but SexLab is not detecting that I have the latest version of papyrus. it says that i need papyrus(3.6+)

You would do well to read this page and all linked content:

 

 

A couple quick pointers: You need the PapyrusUtil VR miscellaneous file from the PapyrusUtil Nexus, and make sure it overwrites SexLab which has an outdated version. Skyrim Special Edition, Legendary Edition, and VR SKSE plugin dll's will only work with their respective game versions. And it is not a simple conversion to copy them to another game version.

an if you have papyrus util vr only an it still dosnt work what do you do then?
