zxcvb999 Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Hi folks, need ur help again. Googlin around for 3 days didnt help a lot. I had some serious issues with water lately. Black screen underwater (fixed), too clean underwater (fixed), and now totally NO WATER textures after pretty short distances (looking from above the surface). Its just invisible until i come little closer. Not to mention that there are completely no LODs for water in far distance. Sea north of Skyrim looks just like big dirty desert from afar. Other LODs are fine. I aleready know that water is supposed to look crappy in the distance, cause water-wise this engine is a joke, but come on - i see no water at all, not even ugliest bit of it. Cant exactly tell the distance after which water disappears. But i will tell u that: when i stand in solitude docks (in the ship for example), then last part of visible water is just under the city itself, under that big rock. And when I stand of the coast of that big lake west of riverwood i cant also see other side of the lake. Am I just paranoid and Skyrim always was that ugly or there is something missing in my settings/files?
Ark of Truth Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Verify your game cache. Sounds like you have some corrupted or missing files.
zxcvb999 Posted May 15, 2013 Author Posted May 15, 2013 Nvmd, i fixed that crap with further drawing distance. 4096=>4096*2. Looks ok for now. Funny thing - no FPS drop.
