Ghuraok Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 While a lot of people should think it's not the good place to post that kind of request, I believe that since I want to talk about adult modding and not just modding, this place seems to be more suitable.  Beware ! Boring stuff about me that nobody wants to read !  Since Oblivion to Skyrim I used a lot of mods. I was always trying to customize my game in the way it seemed immersive and interesting to me. But since Skyrim is still full of potential new mods, I want to create something on my own too (or with anyone who wants to help me). I mostly play adult modding in a M/M way, and I know most of modders rather modding in a straigth or lesbian way. Naturally i'm not blaming anyone since they rarely lock any gay way of using their mods (when it's not too weird and not logic at all), but still the mods mostly dedicated to gay sex are nearly inexistant. Since there's a lot guys playing Skyrim, there's also gay guys playing that game, not only a "few" girls (when I'm sure there's a lot more girls playing skyrim than people seems to believe...) request more gay related mods. That's why I believe I should at least try to be a modder and bring things that enhance the way I and many others play. Of course I'll never forbid any straight (or lesbian) way of playing my future mods if it seems logic and realistic to me.   I'm here to ask a favor to any modder that could show me the way to learn modding correctly and the way I need it. What language I need to learn, what software to use, on which planets I should go, what monster I have to defeat, etc. Here's what I want to learn (mostly scripting stuff): -Quest creation (involving sex, dialogues (with voices), battles, etc.) -Plugin creation for Lover's Lab -Anything simple to learn for beginning scripting easily -Create a project with a team  I wanna try other things like texturing/modeling, animating and even voice acting ! Mostly because I always wanted to give help on projects like beast interaction or lover's lab and also because I just can't wait someone to do things I want for me ~  Currently I can : Create really basic dating sim game Draw things Write stories Use my imagination Use software like Photoshop or Blender/Hexagon   If anybody wants to say something destructive and/or useless they should just ignore my thread. Also, english isn't my first language so please don't expect me to write it perfectly  Hope I'll get positives answers or answers at all :0
Tepi Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 If you have no experience with CK (or geck/cs) at all, I'd say the best way to get started would be with Bethesdas own tutorials. http://www.creationkit.com/Category:Getting_Started Not that Im any good with CK either but I've found those official tutorials really helpful when taking them first steps
hma77 Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 For dialog, NPCs, quests, and the like you can do that all in the CK. Like Tepi said above Bethesdas own tutorials are a great way to start. Although personally I found them lacking and missing information. The supplement solution I found was just to look up stuff on YouTube by searching for " + Creation Kit." Just be warned that most of them will re-cover the basics like navigation in CK which gets kind of annoying after a bit. But after spending some time learning you should be able to draft up your first basic 'level design'. I'm only using that term since it read like you would be more interested in a story interaction first before anything too fancy. Â When you get to the fanciness of triggering animations and such you'll be best to use a framework in place lake SexLab, which has information for modders. It's also around this time that hitting the books on scripting is going to come to play. But knowing how to set up your scene before hand will go along way, so that's why you need the learn the basics of the CK first. Plus you can cheese out a lot with just the CK. Â Models is another bag of fun. Depending on what your after will have it's own challenges. If it's just static models then the niftools forums has been the best resource I've found to date for it. If this is your first time with NifScope then I suggest you build a static model from scratch and get it into the game with collision and all the maps. To me that taught the most of how NifScope works. After that some of the custom bodies have info about how to mod clothes/armor for them; use that as your base. Â Finally looking at other mods in the CK, NifScope, and the like are really useful. Oh! You'll also want to look up the .ini edits you'll need to do if you want to load more than one master in CK, or fix that ground texture issue. Also don't forget to pick up nivida's dds package for PS.
Ghuraok Posted May 15, 2013 Author Posted May 15, 2013 Wow thanks to the both of you, now I know where i'm going  I installed the creation kit, it seems to be working fine... I think ! I tried first : loading the Skyrim.esm and Update.esm as master files...some errors showed up (like the tutorial said) and finally he loaded the whole thing. So here I am ! made an .esp for testing, since it's empty it worked just fine  Bethesda's next tutorial is more theoric, when I rather learn by touching everything But I think I can handle it, proceding step by step. When I get the basics I'll check out for some video tutorials.Anyway thanks again, I'll try to post a simple story quest mod soon !
