What graphics cards are people using? Should I go GTX or RTX?

I'm in the market for a new mid range gaming pc. Most bundles that look good offer either GTX 1660 or RTX 3060. While I imagine RTX is going to be the standard in the future I'm wondering if it will have any sort of adverse affect on doaxvv modding. I've been using a gtx 1650 and it's never steered me wrong so I'd be tempted to go for the package with the gtx 1660 just for familiarities sake.  Any advice?

GTX 1660 is not bad for middle price card.

It starts to be a little bit old.

 

RTX 3060 is a very good mid range card.

 

Check the amount of memory the cards got. The computing power is in the same order of magnitude (3060 is a little bit more powerful but not 50% more powerful)

So probably better to get the card that has more memory.

Prices are going down.

3060 are at a reasonable price, especially if bought not alone but with a pre-made computer.

Expensive? Oh because of the bitcoin gold rush? Prices are higher but not prohibitively higher asaict.

I also agree with cpu.

If you are upgrading your computer now, RTX is a must, not an option.

But if it's not urgent, I think next year is better.

Although the price is recovering, it is not normal.
