Dead or Alive 5 random selector does not "remember" the last hairstyle i chose (or saved via autolink) for a costume.

I use autolink to mod costumes into the game. The best functionality of autolink is to save defaults. i have selected several mods as default costumes and hairstyle, and autolink does remember those hairstyle on a costume slot, however if that costume slot is picked by random selector, the game puts first hairstyle on the costume slot. It results in very janky heads, especially on nyotengu, tina, mila and lisa. any way that the random selector in the game can also remember the hairstyle i set as default using autolink.

however, if the state of the stage changes (like falling of the cliff), the correct hairstyle starts to display.

Try to instead of selecting the hairstyle, leave it at the default one, "A", save the defaults again with autolink and copy the hairstyle you want renaming it to the name of the mod.

i.e. if you want to show hair_blonde.hair.tmc with nyotengu_skirt.tmc, copy the hair files to the same folder of the costume and rename them to nyotengu_skirt.hair.tmc (& tmcl); the same with the face files (if any). It would be a bit annoying having to duplicate hair files and also repeating the process if some day you want to change the default, but I think it should work.

Thank you for the suggestion. it would be a bit tedious but i think it would be worth it so i don't have to see distorted heads. Also is there a way i can can use second phase of a modded costume as a default that is destructible. for exampe: hitomi venus valkyrei mod. after taking some damage the shoulder pads are removed. is there a way i can remove them permenantly?

Not without editing the mod itself. There are several ways to do it.

If you just want an easy way to permanently delete an element, follow my tutorial here: https://www.deviantart.com/peresabcod/journal/Tutorial-removing-elements-of-a-DOA5-TMC-costume-851890041

If you need to invert the breakable (that is show the broken parts by default, you need to remove the PHYD file, open the mod with TMC object tool and toggle the "Visible" objects to "Hidden" and viceversa. TMC object tool can be found here: https://www.mediafire.com/folder/9zi2gt8dyllaj/doa5mod, and a tutorial here:

Thank you
i am completely new to this so i have alot of questions, sorry.
by the way i tested a quick and easy way, i just removed the .PHYD file so the costume doesn't destruct ever. In addition to that, if i remove --C file also. Only the fully destructed costume appears.

I have started to check out the software you mentioned. It is pretty handy. To be honest i thought removing few parts would be impossible for me because i do not know how to mod. That is why i was asking for the final form of destructable costume. But with this, we can choose what to keep and what not to keep.
