Fred Perkins Posted July 4, 2021 Posted July 4, 2021 After a year or so hiatus I'm playing fallout again but something is different about Just Business. I don't like kjilling children so I built them a settelement, enslaved them and told them to relax there. Now however I cannot enslave them anymore. I get an error message, somethimg along the lines of 'incompatible race' This true for both ver6.9 & 7.5. Ver2.0 still works but I wanted the extras, slves whose submission value goes up so I can assign them work, rename capability. selling slaves etc (not all my slaves are children). So far as I could tell 6.9 & 7.5 were installed correctly anrking the way they were intended. Everything worked except with the kids. If there is anyone out there I would greatly appreciate an explanation of what is going on. I dearly love this mod and will stick with ver2.0 thru thick and thin if all else fails.

Sounds like something was put in place to make clear that the mod is not intended to be used for pedophilic fantasies, such as kidnapping children and turning them into sex slaves.

That's most likely the reason. After all Just Business is an adult mod with AAF as requirement... The vanilla game has no kid hostiles so I guess it is up to whatever kid enemy mod you are using to provide a non deadly solution.

I turned starlight drive in into a kiddie kingdom and have adult settlers overseeing things. Each kid receives a handmade legendary weapon (explosive incendiary or freezing) tricked out at weapons workbench, 100 frag grenades,5000 rounds - big guns get 20k - and a new outfit made at workbench. Desdemona and Kellogg outfits are popular. christmas clean oar or souvenir teddy toothbrush toothpaste alien rocket car and/or truck toys wooden blocks wooden soldiers, stimpacks a variety of foods ( I have a large variety due to batch file) and beverages. The only activities they can partake in are hobby horse weightlifting work benches nuka cola machines and slot machines - kids and adults alike like them - . All I want to do is be able to assign them settlement tasks such as classroom defense farming and shop keeping. I am working my way up through all versions and am on ver 4.3 so far. It works but doesn't have any submission level or extended dialog. Must have added the kids block somewhere down the line. Don't have any torture devices and have not set up any kind of foreplay sex mods, at 72 those days are long behind me.
Hiemfire Posted July 7, 2021 Posted July 7, 2021 @Fred Perkins Regardless of how you made use of the old functionality, it doesn't change that the mod dev is likely trying to prevent their mod from being used as I outlined. Or at least cover their ass incase someone figures out a way around it and gets caught since the mod dev can point to the way the mod itself is set up as evidence that they aren't culpable in the other party's actions.

Turns out ver7.5 has assigned submission levels to all my slaves including the kids so it looks like I may be able to assign them tasks after all. It also looks like I may be able to use ver 2.0 to enslave any more raider lids I run across and the reinstall ver7.5. I believe however that I have captured all the raider kids and I don't think they respawn. Who'd a thunk it.
VladimirMurphy Posted July 21, 2021 Posted July 21, 2021 You can also use the console to turn NPC adults in "younger than they are" : - open the console - click on the NPC you want to change: his/her ID will show up in the middle of the screen - type slm theIDoftheNPC (ie : slm 14 would change your character, as the player ID is 14) - exit the console - modify the looks of the NPC to make him/her younger - save the changes when exiting the looksmenu, - open the console again - type theIDoftheNPC.setscale 0.xxx (where xxx can be set as you want: scale 1 is normal height of an adult, so if you want an older teen, 0.850 could be good enough, but if you want a younger teen, 0.65 may fit better) - exit the console Take note that this change may apply on ALL the NPC sharing the same template as the one you change. Another way might be to assign a new race to the children you want to enslave in the game: as per above, you'll need his/her ID, and then to use the console to turn them into adults, using the command: theIDoftheNPC.setrace human

This latest one introduces 2 new races: hc for "human child", and gc for "ghoulish child". This might also permit to enslave "child-like" NPC. I tried to enslave an adult NPC and then to turn her into a "hc" (also I used the setscale and the showlooksmenu commands to customize her). It works on my side

Thanx for your help and interest. Yours most respectfully... This does nothing other than kill/resurrect, set to not hostile (2bc 0) & set helping others to 0 (2bd). Also, from programming point of view it should have been: recycleactor-kill-resurrect-setav ... Anyway, may I recommend Magno Cum Gaudio (M.C.G)? I haven't tried moving kids around with it yet, other than Nat, who I moved to Sanctuary after recruiting Piper. As for it's slaving functions, I only used them to enslave Raider Bosses a.t.m. It got plenty of functions that I'm not bothered to fiddle with, but do take a look as alternative to JB. P/S: I tried JB, but it was buggy for me. MCG is in my stable LO.
