Good tutorials for starting modding (code wise)

I've tried to make my own mods with Mod Comstructor, with S4S and with pure XML editing but so far the success has been pretty lackluster. I haven't really found any good and thorough tutorials or any good documentation on how which XML files are related and interact together. I don't know if none actually exist or if I'm simply too blind.

If someone knows good tutorials and can point me in the right direction that'd be splendid
