Too many childeren that are dead, as a immortal ruler.

Recommended Posts

When I play as a horny immortal ruler, eventualy I have over 100 childeren that when allot of brothers go to battle thy are not immortal. around 70 if not more of my childeren die because of depression and stress or battle that couses that depression/stress.
But my list grow so large with all the gray portraits, is there a mod that removes the gray portraits and only show your childeren that are allive?

There is the Anti-Stress Cascade mod on the Steam WS that prevents mass deaths due to stress: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2357891299

Immortality in CK3 refers to deaths from age, it doesn't affect death in combat unless it boosts their stats. Personally I don't care if they die because in the notional reality, it means less challengers to the throne, LOL. Let the worthy challenger survive IMO. ?

There was a "remove dead kids" mod for CK2. So if the code is similar, it should be possible to make in CK3 too, although since Dynasty thing is so integral, it might not be possible at all.... need someone who know how to speak Computer Rune Magic.

 The stress is not the problem, My charicter out lives them anyway. the problem is when there are so many death. there is a whole list of gray protrates that fills the screen of your childerens menu, Basicly useless informaition that can go away.

not sure how relevant this still is but, the only way to work around, that i could find was this:

The child/adult cant be dead

(YOU WILL NEED DADDYPIKA'S CHEAT MENU)

pause the game, find a ruler far far away from you, open debug and type: play "ChardID"

when controlling the other ruler select the adopt option in the Cheat Menu.

the child will automatically be known as that rulers' son/daughter, you can do it for the mothers as well.

you can then dismiss them from your court. (not sure if you need to remove claims by imprisonment)

after you removed all the children you want, just hop back into your own character and start banging again.

Is this still relevant?

Solution sounds quite simple to me.

You could have an interaction that runs on all your dead children and removes you as their father. That way they will no clutter your view.

every_child = {
  even_if_dead = yes
  limit = {is_alive = no}
  set_father = dummy_male
  set_mother = dummy_female
}
