hi Im a newbie at downloading and modding plz help!

hi i know it says download in sims 4 package folder , im new to modding I dont have a folder that says package so i just put it in my sims 4 folder will that work?

Hey there,

 

First welcome to playing with mods. Second this isn't the right section for questions and your post will probably be moved, just a heads up for the future.

 

But as for where to install mods, you need to place it in the Mods file that's inside the Sims 4 folder. The path should look something like this:

 

C:\Users\YourComputersUserNameHere\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods

 

.package files will go here just fine, but if it's anything else (.zip files, .7z files, etc.) you'll need to use something to extract the files into the Mods folder.

 

Also when you start up the game after installing mods, make sure you go in to the game settings from the main screen and check the box to allow Mods and Custom Content otherwise they won't show up in your game.
