zader9 Posted May 31, 2021 Posted May 31, 2021 I had this problem of NPCs not displaying nude textures, I could only see nude skins on Sims I created. I'm not sure what I've done but now my NPCs have nude skins. I did download a few nude skins so I don't if it's a certain nude bodies package that has fixed that issue? Anyways kinda glad the problem it resolved itself because now I don't have to do anything lol. I would just like to know what the heck I did to get the nude skins to work on NPCs. I'm guessing it's probably one of the nude packages I have.

If you want NPC's to have replacement textures, you must install "default" replacements, and there can be ONLY ONE. You can have as many non-default textures as your game can handle... forget what that number is. 100?
zader9 Posted May 31, 2021 Author Posted May 31, 2021 Okay I got it, I just don't want to screw anything up and lose those textures for the NPCs. I'm going to check my packages folder and see what's in there.

When the game loads, it reads files beginning with program files, and ending with the packages and overrides folders. What it reads last is what it uses... generally, although not 100% which is where conflicts etc come in, but that doesn't usually happen with simple skin textures. If you have more than one package labeled as default, only one will show in game. I don't think it will cause problems, but no reason to ever have more than one as some skins are heavy loads with "HD" images. As I said, you can have a lot of non-default skins. Many, I, have specialty skins... Avatar, and other alien type skins, animals, etc, as well as multiple "human" skin tones. If you want a lot of choices, try Cmar's skin tone panel fund on MTS.
