How to update mods in mod manager? (Noob)

I'm still a noob when it comes to mods, specifically how to update them in mod manager. I use nexus mod manager as well. How do I update important mods like Fusion Girl, AAF, and other complex mods without ruining my save?

 

Do I just click "reininstall" and that's it? Do I Uninstall completely, delete, and download it all over again? Please help.

Dumb questions, I know.
