en0ch Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Currently learning to do modding and editing vanilla helmet, but it's didn't shown up in game. I take people's advice check body parts, copy vanilla and paste over and reset the properties. but it's still invisible in game, i only notice the different in my tangents and bitangents is disable, any advice to fix it?
Veta Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Some suggestions : 1st did you put it in the correct folder ? you said it replaces vanilla make sure it's in the correct folder . 2nd I see you use 3ds max , did you skin wrap it after you finished editing the mesh ?
Cyndi Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 It's more than likely what speedynl said, but just incase: highlight block 0, click spells (at the top beside help), then follow through to sanitize then re-order link arrays, repeat with re-order blocks. Follow that up with, spells -> batch -> update all tangent spaces Edit: Just a thought, were all of the faces selected when you did the bsdismemberskininstance? It's pretty easy to accidentally deselect everything after you set that in 3ds, which has buggered a few meshes up on me.
Veta Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 But he said he was replacing a vanilla helmet , but I'm fairly new to modding so I can't say for sure .
en0ch Posted May 4, 2013 Author Posted May 4, 2013 Edit: Just a thought, were all of the faces selected when you did the bsdismemberskininstance? It's pretty easy to accidentally deselect everything after you set that in 3ds, which has buggered a few meshes up on me. Sorry if i asking stupid question, i only included skeleton when editing, but not sure about the "face" you mention. Is it needed to import from somewhere else? If so, what the file's name?
Cyndi Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 By "faces" I mean the mesh itself. Like 2 vertexes connected make an edge, 3 or more edges connected make a face (or polygon I guess technically). So what I mean is, when you were doing your BSdismember, did you highlight everything, did it stay highlighted? ... and you did do that part in 3ds max, not just copied from another mesh? Edit~ even better, watch from about 7 mins in to 10:30 to see what I mean. Edit edit~ errrr more like 9 mins to 10 mins, but w/e.
