How to get Authentic Sinding Follower mod to work with Sexlab Creatures?

The mod itself is amazing, and I really want to use it, however it changes Sinding's beast Race. So whenever you try to do anything with him in his Werewolf form, the message "They are a creature type that is currently not supported" pops up in the console when it tries to start the animations. I tried following the MNC Animation Troubleshooting guide, but that didn't work. Anyone know what I can do to get this to work?

open the console, click on follower and enter "setrace werewolfbeastrace". might not let them change back to their previous race through dialogue though so make a backup save incase you encounter bugs.
