Sevish Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 So I'm attempting to make my first custom race, I want to make something I haven't seen before lesser Aedra. Now I understand about the customization options and things, but I'm wondering how I would add an effect to to the race? I was thinking something like the effect on reanimated corpses or the effect you get when you eat something that makes you weak to magic. Â My question is how do I do that and what are the reference IDs for such a thing?
Ark of Truth Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Effects such as eating something that makes you weak to magic would be done on the item had you eat rather then the race. Â As for the one with reanimated corpses, do you mean being near that race will causes corpses to become reanimated or buffs when fighting reanimated corpses?
Sevish Posted May 1, 2013 Author Posted May 1, 2013 I was referring to the cosmetic effect as in making my race look like they've been enchanted. Like a frost enchanted sword drawn from its scabbard. Â I have other ideas for the racials.
Ark of Truth Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 So you want your character to look like it has come back from the dead? Like veins or over the body etc.
Sevish Posted May 1, 2013 Author Posted May 1, 2013 Not veins so much, but innately magical. Similar to the way a dead bandit does when you reanimate them. That kind of magical aura.
Ark of Truth Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 You would have to add the magical effect to the race using the CK. Â You would have to most likely duplicate the effect and remove the control effects. Â I could take a look at it in my name and see if it can be done. However it won't be until tomorrow.
Sevish Posted May 2, 2013 Author Posted May 2, 2013 I've done some poking around in the CK, granted not much, but I've found some of the effects like flame cloak, and call of valor, but I want the race to look like it was enchanted at an enchanting table.
Sevish Posted May 3, 2013 Author Posted May 3, 2013 I haven't had time to explore it myself, but I found something on the Internet. I believe the cosmetic effect is something like 0010EAD9 : Reanimate Secondary Effects (ReanimateSecondayTargetActor)
