Using Screenshots

Hey everyone, I posted this in Request & find but I think it's better suited here. I've always been an avid collector of Sims 4 screenshots for my personal use and I've been dabbling in Ren'Py for the last few years. I've seen some good adult Ren'Py games and I thought, why not make a visual novel with Sims screenshots? I've looked up licensing on this topic on various forums and the answers are grey at best. Furthermore, I had seen other users post screenshots in various manners, even videos on pornhub. The game I would make would be completely free, and to be honest I doubt more than a handful of people would ever play--though that being said I do plan on posting it on various places.

 

I was wondering if anyone could give me a more definitive answer on screenshot usage? Also, I would be using mods such as Wicked Whims, which I am sure changes things in some way. There are a lot of great posters in General Discussion--how do you guys go about it?

 

I don't want to get started on what I want to be a lengthy project only for EA to shut it down. Thanks!

I was thinking along the same line, I'm sure EA has bigger fish to fry. Thanks, I remember that too, I'll see if I can find it again.
