Chaurus doesn't attack after the sex scene

It's really weird because it's not like it's stuck in sexlab animation or AI got shut off. It's still aggro. It's still coming after you. But it just doesn't attack. I've tried console command reset its AI but it didn't work. Disable and enable it works but it's still annoying.

And it's not like I have some mods conflict with each other either. The only mods I have that influence chaurus is MNC and it's requirements. And all other creatures including chaurus hunter is fine, only chaurus and chaurus reaper have this problem.  I do know that sexlab unity plus seems to fix this but it conflicts with some of the mods I want to keep. So I'd like to ask if any of you had the same issue knows how to deal with it, or perhaps there's a standalone fix for this?

So you still see them as a red dot on your mini map, and are they chasing you but just not spitting?

I know there are a couple mods that impacts Chaurus after sex but you did say you were only running MNC.  I think Estrus Charus + will have a Charus follow you for a while after having sex with it (unless I'm remembering a different mod) and also Sexlab Parasites (also known as Kynes Blessing) does something with chaurus worm parasite and faction, making Falmer, Spiders and Charus friendly.  Just a couple thoughts on why that could happen in case someone else finds this with the same problem.  Also check the buffs/debuffs for anything unusual.  I remember seeing something strange in there one time, when Chaurus weren't attacking and it might have been from Parasites.

Yep, they didn't even melee. They are aggro and coming after my character but when they arrived they just stand there doing nothing.

At first i thought it's MNC's problem and since Sexlab Unity Plus somehow fixed that, I tried to replace SetVehicleFixPlugin.dll in MNC with the one in Unity Plus as it's the only thing Unity Plus overwrites MNC for, but it didn't work. So it seems the problem lies in Sexlab Framework itself thus I tried to use Sexlab Fixes but it didn't work either. I hope someone would provide another way to fix this instead of having to use Unity Plus.

It might be that another chaurus in the area still need to have a go at you. I sometimes get it when another creature or mob that is qd up to have sex with the player. But is not close or stuck and cannot get to the player. So the creatures will just follow you around.

One thing you could try is to turn Papyrus logging on and go back to a previous save and see if you can reproduce the problem.  Then open the papyrus.0 file with a text editor and see if you can glean anything from that.

I've figured out it's the problem of sslActorAlias.pex and sslActorAlias.psc of Sexlab 1.62. Replaced by the ones included in Utility Plus will fix the problem. However it will complete destroy the expression system and all the npc side animations. So it seems the only choice is to use Utility Plus as a whole which unfortunately caused many problems for my load order.

Glad you figured it out!  Just to clarify (In case you weren't already aware) a ".psc" file is the source code for the actual script which is the ".pex" file.  So you really only need the .psc if you wanted to change the script and recompile it.

That's sort of a weird thing to have happen though.  I've had experiences with chaurus with the stock sexlab files and don't remember that happening before.  I'll have to keep that in mind in case I see it.  Thanks for providing your fix, it helps anyone else that finds this thread in the future.
