FastestDogInTheDistrict Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 Hey! I am using the UNPB body, with Navetsea's 1_8 skins, and among other things I am using Ethereal Elven Overhaul. I would like to know the best way to successfully blend the Ethereal Elven texture set/s with Navetsea's. I'm already using UNP Blender, which works fine for Navetsea, Barbarian, etc., but I do not seem to be blending with EEO. Do I need to make a different set of .psd's for Texblend? Before I disappear down a texture-bashing rabbit hole - is there a recommended blending process for Ethereal Elven Overhaul? pds123 Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 I normally take my texture sets outside of skyrim in to a new folder structure, point unp blender there and create my textures outside of skyrim. Then I make a new file and import that until I get it right. It's mainly about getting the correct heads and bodies in the right folders, using some skins you have to duplicate files to different race's folders so get them to work correctly.

Many thanks for the reply pds! Sorry for the late response - I have been away! Yes, I have done that previously myself - that's a good suggestion. I'll cut & paste from the main "female" folder & see if that fixes it.
FastestDogInTheDistrict Posted April 29, 2013 Author Posted April 29, 2013 Yep - that was a good suggestion, pds! What I did was: take my already blended skin files from the main "female" folder, and dump them in the "Ethereal - Highelf" folder as a test. Now blends comparably to UNPB (that is to say - not perfect, but pretty good!), with the exception of the "ridged" texture which seems to be unique to Ethereal Overhaul so there's not really anything to be done about it. But the rest are a VAST improvement! Thanks!
medic975 Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 I'm wanting to do the same thing with fair skin and some tattoo mods. Is there a youtube walkthrough on using Caliente's Tex Blender? Specifically for doing the pointing at a folder method you speak of?
pds123 Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 the only files you can blend are texture normal and sk. The female woodelf uses the highelf normal so untick it, and after blended copy highelf to woodelf folder. Also make sure you have the correct tex blender for the skin you use as there are different source files for different textures, look in the files section of texture blender, there was just an update for navetsea this morning. I use the dry skin http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/31782/? so also blend those files and then add them in. For etheral to blend properly you need to put the files in a textures\actors\character folder structure instead of the etheral folder then once they are blended put them back in the etheral folder. femalebody_1 and femalehead are the only files it will blend, ignore the ridged.
medic975 Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 Thanks, did just that and now have an awesome body!. I appreciate it.
pds123 Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 Thanks, did just that and now have an awesome body!. I appreciate it. Happy to help! I also blend the "very dry" version of this as I hate the shiny look skryim skin gives off with enb http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/31782/?
