heraklinos Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 I have a save game with about 4 days spent (in-game). Every time I load it, the game crashes and brings me to the desktop. I have boss, wrye bash and everything in the correct order. If I don't use the OBSE client then this particular save loads perfectly fine. Is there a way to use the OBSE client and load my save so I can play with my mods? I can create a new game and load a save from the new game perfectly fine (in the OBSE client). Please help if you can or suggest anything. Thank you so much!
Ark of Truth Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 You save is corrupted if it is refusing to load with the OBSE client. Sadly they is no way to use some mods with it. Try doing the following and it may fix your save. If it doesn't the save is corrupted beyond repair. - DISABLE ALL mods. - Load Oblivion - Load your save. - Wait until it is fully loaded. - Save your game, overwriting that save. - Close Oblivion - ENABLED all your mods again. - Try and load your save again.
heraklinos Posted April 18, 2013 Author Posted April 18, 2013 Ok, it worked, but my char was invisible... Is there anyway to fix that? I tried putting clothes on the invisible character, but the game just crashed again. Thanks for fixing the first problem hah.
Ark of Truth Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 After loading all your mods again, open the console and type without quotes "showracemenu", you should now see your character if not just remake on the spot Saving you from starting completely again.
heraklinos Posted April 18, 2013 Author Posted April 18, 2013 Crashes again. I think I am just going to give up and start a new game. Thanks anyways though haha! (by crashes again I meant doing the console thing made it crash).
perfectioncat Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 If you introduce OBSE, .log file should be made in an installation folder of Oblivion. It is necessary for you to check log file when CTD occurred. Some error may be recorded with luck. When MOD is deleted with an event handler being incorporated, CTD may occur in the road of the game. It is necessary to check whether the thing which you check instance of obse included in save data in WB, and is deleted is not included.
