How to merge two different slider data into one sliderset?

Hello, am trying to combine two different projects in outfit studio to merge them into a combined outfit I'd like. But when I load reference and merge sliders and then save the project the sliders from the reference dont function at all. I think I've traced the problem though.

 

When I "Save as" the project it asks what slider set to use, and it uses the old one from the item opened first. When I saved it with the sliderset of the reference item the sliders of the reference worked. I though that using "merge sliders" from the reference would work for this, but apparently it doesn't, sadly.
