Crash at load-up using SKSE and cannot open BOSS

Hello everyone,

 

so I had a Skyrim installation on my computer several months ago that I uninstalled, thinking I wouldn't play the game for a while. I recently re-installed the game and installed several new mods using Nexus Mod Manager.

 

My game is incredibly unstable for some reason and I have to try to load it several, several times using SKSE before I can get it to work. Basically what's happening is, I load up the game just fine, but when I tried to load a saved file--even one that was created with all of my newest mods installed--the game CTD's without any warning sign or anything and I have to re-start the game.

 

Eventually, usually after 7 or 8 times, if I'm lucky, I can get it to load my save file. But this is becoming incredibly annoying and I'd like to get it fixed.

 

After reading a bit online, I decided to install Wrye Bash and run the bashed patch to try and fix my load order and stuff. I did this, and now Nexus Mod Manager refuses to open up on my computer. It just hangs at the loading screen forever and ever until I finally eventually open up task manager and manually end the process.

 

Frustrated, I decided to install BOSS and run that to fix my load order. But when I try to run BOSS, even when I try to run the GUI, a command prompt window pops up INCREDIBLY briefly and then CTD's almost immediately. I never have enough time to read the entire error line, but I'm always very easily able to make out the words "Critical Error".

 

I really don't know what I'm doing wrong here, now. I wish I could give you guys my load order, but without BOSS or NMM working at all I have no idea how to fix this issue. I'd really prefer not to have to do a clean installation, as I have several mods installed that I really don't want to have to re-download and install.

 

Can someone please help walk me through the steps I need to take to either fix my BOSS and/or NMM and then eventually try to fix my game?

 

I can open a BOSS Report in Wrye Bash to give you my current list of mods installed and my current load order. Other than that I'm really stuck. Sorry.

Could be that your game has corrupted files. Try doing "Verify integrity of game cache" in Steam.
