Game doesn't start anymore

Hi all, I had AAF up and running well up until a couple of weeks ago when i updated it. then aaf didn't work (the top right side of the screen said aaf was at 68%). i figured i might need the new version of UAP, and it took some time for me to be able to download it, and i haven't really touched the game since. when i installed it today and tried to run the game: it said i was missing VCRUNTIME140.dll. i looked it up and found the suggestion from microsoft to install both x64 and x86 versions of Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable. i did so, restarted my pc, and now when I try to open F4se i don't get the error, but the game doesn't start either. the black window appears, then disappears. the game doesn't start via steam or the normal launcher either. I'm not sure what caused this. What can i do to troubleshoot this? do i need to reinstall everything? if so, is there any way i can salvage some of my mods/settings? the biggest pain in the ass to do over is the outfit and body setups.

My 68% issue was related to missing - TBB (on the Buffout4 download page).

Try reinstalling buffout and its requirements, don't forget that XSE plugin goes in root directory (not Data)

Also check that you have Looksmenu v1.6.18 and not the latest version.

You can copy meshes, textures, materials folders and outfits Esp to a new install. Also copy the Tools folder to keep your body setups.
