madrigrrl Posted February 3, 2021 Posted February 3, 2021 Noob question. I'm running Fallout 4 through MO2, and after setting up AAF and starting the game, I end up with a F4SE folder in my Overwrite. Inside that folder is a plugins folder, and inside that are two files: "AAF_game_started_2021..." and "LL_fourPlay.ini" In Skyrim SE I'd find the relevant mod folder in the MO2 tree and drop the contents from Overwrite. Problem is, the only two folders called F4SE (that I can find) are the one in Overwrite, and one inside the "src" folder in the game folder -- src is at the same level as Fallout4.exe. so the F4SE folder is one deeper inside src. In Gopher vids describing installation of SKSE, src was described as optional -- useful for modders but unnecessary for ordinary players. If so, src strikes me as the wrong place to update F4SE game progress. Can someone clarify where I should drop the two files noted above? Many thanks.
Guest Posted February 3, 2021 Posted February 3, 2021 Just right-click on it to "Create Mod". Name it something like 'AAF F4SE'.
jelloman Posted February 17, 2021 Posted February 17, 2021 AFAIK any files created by your mods (like slider presets created in-game) go to overwrite folder as it's one of the virtual folders serving as "data" folder.
