Downloading SOS on SKSE using Vortex.

I downloaded SOS on Skyrim SE using Vortex and skyrim will not launch. please help I have been looking for hours in the forums and gotten no where.

Do you have all of the prerequisite mods?
XP32 - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/1988
SKSE - https://skse.silverlock.org
SkyUI - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/12604

Are you launching the game through the SKSE launcher (skse64_loader.exe) rather than through SkyrimSE.exe?
Do you have any other mods installed?

Launching through Vortex but ive also tried through steam. my SKSE is also through vortex.

Running no other mods currently

I have all the prerequisite mods.

 

is SOS not playable on Special edition?

If you have any other mods, disable them for now.
I would install SOS and all required mods following the documentation that's usually provided, nothing else. After this, launch the game via SKSE loader (you can make a shortcut in Vortex under dashboard --> add tools).
If this doesn't work, download a fresh copy of SKSE and try again. You may have an old version or it could have gotten corrupted.

Two other things to try:
-run the SKSE loader directly through your Skyrim folder. I've had weird issues with FNIS at times throwing up hissy fits when I run it through Vortex rather than directly.
I have to head for the night. Hopefully this helped solve your problem.
-remove all the mods and get rid of SKSE from your Skyrim folder and reinstall and set up everything. It's possible that you may have made an error somewhere when you were setting things up that's causing this. This happens to me more than I'd like to admit.

The SKSE is only running for normal skyrim.

I just figured this out. It is the SE version though.
