Need ideas and help for magical girl/snuff mod

I'm working on a private mod that adds magical girl (anime) themed characters and looking for some help and inspiration

 

Note: the term 'magical girl' refers to the genre and does not underaged persons. This ain't sassy teens. 

 

These features are currently already working:

• Adds an actor (custom follower) with custom armor (taken from other mods).
• When the actor falls below a health threshold, their body armor breaks (similar to break undies).
• When the actor dies, the armor breaks again and there is a chance they pee themselves.  In addition, there is a smaller chance the actor begins to glow in a bright light and their body then explodes in a flash of light.
• If the actor survived combat with broken armor, they heal and regenerate the armor shortly after combat ends.

 

Plans for future version:

the actor wears a non-combat outfit normally and casts a conjuration spell to equip armor when combat begins.

floating/flying animations only for these characters

 

Problems:

The current implantation is bad. All these effects are added via an actor script, that listen for onhit and oncombat start events. Specifically, each actor script has to store all the armors (in all the different break stages). I'm no expert with papyrus and was hoping some folks could help provide some ideas on how to clean up the code.

Ideas on how to implement additional features are also welcome and appreciated.
