DarkeningPaladin Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Hiya sorry for this post and the title (couldnt really explain it any better) i dont usually ask for help cause i can usually fix the problem but i have never experienced this before.... my npcs have this bloody horrible clown..... thing going on..... and i just cant play the game with them looking like that...... i've never seen a problem like this and been searching the web and found nothing... i think it affects everything that uses the imperial texture.. as 2 of my player character looks completely normal and they each use different custom textures, also its only the npc's faces, their bodies and ear textures are completely fine. im completely stumped by this.... please help me erradicate this freaky problem Also i might add im in hawkhaven (test area) but i have also tested to see if the problem persists in tamriel.. it did My load order is fine i've edited myself and had it like it is for a while and its been fine plus my load order is delicate and i know how to keep it running smoothly.. its just a problem that happened a couple of minutes ago. i've tried archive invalidation i also have hi rez default oblivion face textures for imperials and so on .....
pringles89 Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 i would guess that maybe the texture got corrupted somehow. do mean default textures for imperials from game or from face mod such as http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/14805? have you already tried to replace the imperial face textures or reinstalling face texture mod?
Poontank Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 The first thing that comes to my mind is the texture quality of the game's video settings has been set to medium (instead of large) by some mistake. Did you change your video settings, maybe clicked on the 'default' button by accident? The custom textures you are using might be too demanding for the game to render on the medium setting. The real mystery in that case would be why only some characters are affected and others not. It all depends on the complexity and resolution of said custom textures versus lower resolutions of the ones that are correctly displayed.
