Convert custom follower into player character

Hey,

 

I found on Nexus this follower. I would love to have this one turned into a playable preset but I can't figure out how to do it myself. Did tried following a guide but didn't helped.

 

I do know the FAQ on there says it's not possible because of the many different textures but I don't buy that. There are many impressive mods adding races with custom textures so why would this one not be possible?

 

Can anyone explain how to do this or maybe get working on it?

It can be done but it requires skill. Me and another modder are trying to convert another companion mod into a player preset and it tricky.
