Non-Default skin mod looks washed out outside of CAS

This is my first time installing and using a non-default skin. It's kind of grey-ish almost purple in hue. I wonder if I did something wrong (?). The default skin looks good in-game I think. Any ideas?

Jeez..  it just stops happening sometimes and then returns at others. I thought maybe it was the lighting pole on a certain floor but it's not. I don't know why the issue sometimes goes away but usually is persisting.
