Ideas for LoversHypnosis

I've been think about restarting development on LoversHypnosis since it's been apparently abandoned, but I like to get some ideas from the forum community here. I have some ideas, but I don't want this to be a private mod, but one that others would play and enjoy. So feel free to post your ideas here on where this mod should go, no matter how crazy, since I can draw inspiration from the most unlikely sources. :P

Permanent Hypnosis. Say if someone is hyponotised to long or to many times it becomes permanent. You have to learn it and not just start off with it. Hypnotize someone into giving you there house( you own it and everything in it....This would take a lot of coding tho) merge of Permanent with house where they must be permanetly hypnotised to (anything other than dog) to give you the house

I feel that Hypnosis (the way I remember it) was just a test, and not something really meant to be used in regular play.

Maybe Hypnosis could become like Doctor? In LoversDoctor, you learned the trade of "sexual examination" which didn't really have a purpose, but it was kind of interesting.

I hope this isn't asking too much, but maybe adding a hypnotist NPC to the game and creating a hypnosis skill would be cool. He'd teach you the a spell that when you used it on an NPC you could hypnotize them. So you use the spell and then dialogue is initiated with that target and you have the chance to hypnotize them. There should be a chance of success, the higher the illusion skill, the higher the chance of success. If you succeed, the target becomes your slave and follower for a certain amount of time (if you reach a certain mastery of hypnotism, you can hypnotize people permanently). If you fail, the NPC will realize it and hate you and/or start attacking you.

The hypnotist should be this old, mysterious man who owns a mystical shop for selling magic wares, but he also teaches people he likes in the art of hypnotism (possibly needed to have sex with him in order to get him to teach you?). He has some slaves in his basement where you can begin practicing. Once you reach a certain level, you can try it on others.

The spell could be used in combat, but only if the target is weak or weakened, otherwise they'll be too angry to be susceptible to your attempts.

Optionally, enemy that are mages might also use the hypnotism spell. In combat they use it on you and depending on your intelligence, you may become their temporary fuck-toy or you might resist it. If you fail, you will be raped several times by the hypnotist and others, until you "snap out of it".

Oh and your hypnotized slaves could be forced on all fours a-la loversbitch.

Sorry if this is kind of complex, I'm no modder (YET) so I can't really tell.

Some good ideas already, I was thinking of using the incremental approach to Hypnosis my self, the need for multiple sessions to make it permanent. Also having a "mysterious" NPC teach the PC as part of a questline. But all the classical interpretations of Hypnosis kinda render it unsuitable for a combat skill, except maybe at a higher level of proficiency. Keep up the good work guys. Oh and Tesla, if you could show me how to add an animation like that, I would be glad to do it, my skills don't go that far yet. LOL

You're Hungry; NPC eats any food on them. Great if you've given them poison apples.

You're Thirsty; NPC drinks anything on them. Perfect if you've given them a poison of aphrodisiac.

You're Sleepy; NPC uses the nearest bed.

You're Horny; NPC goes into stalking mode.

It should be possible to resist hypnosis, maybe with a check of Willpower vs Willpower, so that a 1st level character can't hypnotize the Countess into giving him a blow job in front of a court.

I've always wanted expanded companion functionality; This is your Home / Bed / Place to Eat / Place to Hunt / Place to Hang Out / Place to Read. I don't know if that goes with the theme of hypnosis, but it's on my wish list.

Actually, it fits very well Old Book, but I have part of that already integrated into my private version of LoversMagic. I need to find out how to make a NPC go into stalking mode, haven't had much time looking at the main Lovers PK scripts or Lovers Joburg.

How about this, then Slammer - Hypnotising 1 or more npcs to create a diversion to cover your escape from town guards, legion etc or to distract the same, whilst engaging in some nefarious activity or other.

I'd suggest speechcraft should be the deciding factor in calculating the chance of success.

Perhaps a spell could be added to stun an opponent temporarily in combat in order to help facilitate using hypnosis. Maybe having a limited amount of time, after the stun, to actually succeed in putting the opponent under.

It would be kind of cool if you could link hypnosis to trigger conditions. You can only hypnotize someone after:

1) Casting a Charm spell on them (for people playing Tantric magicians)

2) Drinking their blood (for Vampires)

3) Having sex with them (for Succubi/Incubi)

4) When they're drinking something (the idea being you've drugged their drink)

I'd kind of like to feel like the Hypnosis is part of a larger theme or power set.

It's beyond the scope of this mod, but one of the cooler aspects of Dark Bloodlines and Cursed Armor is that mind control and sex magic is used on you, just as you use it on others. A hypnotist like Molly the Love Stalker ("The Amazing Sanguina") who keeps finding your character and hypnotizing him/her would be great fun.

There was part of what you mentioned that I was considering Old Book, tying LoversHypnosis to say Willpower and adding a drug that would lower will so you could more easily hypnotize them. But I'm still thinking about the way to play this, maybe as part of a psionic powerset. You know, mind control, telekinesis, that sort of thing, so many ideas, not enough time LOL

hmm...Just thought it would be neat if a permanent hypnotized person would spread good things about you, slowly raising your fame and relationship with whom they talked to. and MORE hypnotizing options. E.X. Hypnotize someone into hating someone else(or faction based so they hate a specific faction...like the imperial legion....) Also an effect timer for those that are not permanently hypnotized(effect ends after so long and if you are not the one to break it and the timer does, they lose disposition toward you and start spreading negative things about raising infamy and draining disposition towards you from other people.)

Further to my above suggestions, there were occasions when I wasn't playing seriously I'd deliberately raise an NPC's infamy via the console (eg a guard) and laugh at the mayhem and chaos that ensued.

Basically the distraction wouldn't have to be that extreme. An option to perhaps command an NPC to seduce a guard causing all the others to admire the spectacle.

Or get three (the minimum number in UK to constitute a riot) NPCs to protest at the guards for being shot changed at a local shop, poor water supply, diluted beer etc. The riot does not have to end in violence. I have in mind a smaller version of the protestors that Giskard put into his classic overhaul.

All in all I think I'm becoming a bit of a fan of Old Book's idea of a tantric mage.

Not enough hours in a day, eh Slammer?

The Seduce spell from Cursed Armor had an effect that I can't really figure out how to duplicate without using a series of other spells; If a guard or hostile NPC was Seduced, he'd become friendly for some considerable time after sex. Trespassing and caught by a guard? No problem. Seduce him and he'd wander off happy. Arrested and don't feel like paying a fine? Seduce. Don't want to slaughter your way through a Hentaimania Dungeon? Turn it into an orgy and you'll find yourself a welcome guest.

I can kind of simulate this by spamming spells from other mods, but it would be fun to have a one stop, "These are not the droids you're looking for" option to make guards and other NPCs that stop to talk non-hostile.

Well, you can sort of do it with a Charm spell and the Calm spell or "StopCombat" console command; charm the bad guy up to 100+ disposition and stop him from being actively in combat, and he'll wander off and let you pass. But the Seduce spell was a much slicker one step approach to it.
