They simply don't work cause Bethesda apparently thought it was a good idea to break their own console commands.

It seems unbelievable that such great personalizing and customizing tools were so unceremoniously eliminated.

Nayl Posted March 25, 2013 Author Posted March 25, 2013 Bummer.... Wish I kept backups on the previous Skyrim version. But I'm sure Bethesda wouldn't have done this on purpose. I mean, What can they gain from eliminating the majority of mfg commands? Hopefully this can be patched up soon. I'm going to see if this has been brought to their attention on the official forums if I can find it.
VictoriaG Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 If you roll back to 1.8 from 1.9 these are the files you need to roll back also, otherwise your skills menu will all be messed up: In the main Skyrim directory: TESV.exe Update.esm Update.bsa Skyrim - Misc.bsa In Strings folder: Skyrim_English.DLSTRINGS Skyrim_English.ILSTRINGS Skyrim_English.STRINGS Update_English.DLSTRINGS Update_English.ILSTRINGS Update_English.STRINGS

Pretty unlikely as there are no such commands in the vanilla game and I doubt they would be able to banish sex mods without completely disabling new animations...oh and it would not only cause a major shitstorm but I and probably many others would stop buying their Elder Scrolls stuff if they start disabling modding features because of a few sex mods.

Mouths being stuck open, npcs still sleeping with eyes open.. I hope this would be fixed in another patch. I mean...it looks like this current patch made the face animations worse.. Anyone else noticing mouths being stuck open on npcs after they talk from time to time?

Just looking at as possibility at moment. With each update stuff getting broken. Install Duel Magic everybody start moon walking instead running. Quick unstall. Try other mods stop working. Time for me do some bug checking. Comment remind me of Bush from Robot Chicken. Not funny men!! Gives back Skyrim porn!

I don't have these files backed up. Geist Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 The only way for some of us to revert back is to do it the not so ethical way, I seriously hope they fire the buffon who thought breaking the commands was a good idea. This sucks on so many levels for me, as I plan to unintall and re-install the entire game pretty soon. I was planning to avoid updates from steam, but the most awesome and recent mods (including SKSE) requires patch 1.9 by now. I don't think one big Fuuuu shout is enough to descibe my anger and disappointment over this.

I rolled back to 1.8 for a number of reasons and my skills menu was all messed up. Pulling the old files from a backup worked perfectly. Thanks again!

Downloading another copy of an older version (of which, you previously had up until the update - that you obviously do not want for very good reasons) does not qualify as piracy. For those about to flip off and start in on moral justifications and such. This has already been tested in Canadian courts, and i'm certain it would end pretty much the same way anywhere else. Piracy can't be committed if you already own the original distribution medium.
