Buggzz Posted October 18, 2020 Posted October 18, 2020 I know there are a lot of threads on this topic but everything I have found was from the perspective of a user trying to install a downloaded mod. My problem though is that I tried to create my own armor mod and make it cbbe compatible. I followed this guide https://tesmistel.tumblr.com/post/149567999810/outfit-studio-conversion-guide and it does work in BodySlide - the armor fits to the model and changes based on the sliders. Ingame on the other hand the armor does not fit and changing the body through racemenu does not change anything. In general Bodyslide does work for me though (with downloaded mods). I attached my mod to this post. Is there maybe something wrong with the folder structure? After I created this folder I deleted the .esp and the meshes from my game folder. I'm not sure if that was necessary but I thought maybe it has priority over ModOrganizer. VanillaClothesSeparated.7z
RW311 Posted October 18, 2020 Posted October 18, 2020 Cannot load the project in os, errror in file path I think - so no nif is actually created when you build outfit and the only thing you would see in game is the nif already in the mesh folder which cannot conform to body shape changes because it has no tri shape data. If you are building the project through Mod organizer make sure you have outfit studio also launching from MO or you will have broken file path to the nif in the projects osp file. Esp error - armor and armor addon sets slot 49 but biped slot in nif is 38 this would make visible outfit mesh never show up so I don't know what you were seeing when testing this.

Ah, those were good hints, thank you very much. So for any future person with a similar problem that might read this, here is what solved it for me: Mistake 1: When saving your Outfit Studio Project you need to make sure that the Output Data Path is the same as the one that you used for the mesh in the Skyrim Creation Kit. I did not know that, it makes sense though. Mistake 2: If you change the armor slot for your item and change your mind halfway through you have to change the armor slot in every .nif file. I only changed the .nif files that I put into my meshes folder but there is a .nif file under \CalienteTools\BodySlide\ShapeData aswell. Mistake 3: If you added a reference for your cbbe conversion which you probably did, don't forget to save it without the reference. Because the reference has "armor slots" aswell it will mess everything up.
