skirmish Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 I've had no problem normal mapping in the past. You copy a bsshaderproperty to your model, then change the second link (usually), to you're new normal map. For some reason it's not working the greatest. It just shows up shiny in game, with no definition of depth. I can increase and decrease the opacity of the normal map and it will get more or less shiny, like it's supposed to but there's still no depth to it for some reason. And my model is properly uvmapped and the texture shows up fine, so I don't know what's going on. I used the Iron armor bsshaderproperty. Is there any other adjustments that I could or need to make to make this work?
canderes Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 It's probably your alpha channel on the normal map. If its too white it will be all waxy looking. As for no depth change bs uv sets to 4097 on your trishape and click on your model on the viewport -> mesh -> update tangent space.

I guess they left that part out of the tutorial I was using.
