Loading Screen Silly Question

This might be a little odd, but please hear (read?) me out. I have some custom loading screens pictures and everything works great. The thing is that I only get a non-blank loading screen when loading a save or going on the world map for the first time in each game session. Everything else is just your typical black screen with the smoke. I read somewhere that if the game things that the loading time will be short, no loading mesh would be displayed. My question is: Is there a way to make loading screens pop up more often? I mean, it seems a shame to have a loading screen mod just to have these blank loading screens every time.
