So, my companions aren't following me.

I tried fast travelling, I tried sleeping in a bed for 24 hours, I don't what to do. Some people associated this with AFT, but I did not install AFT. What do I do? This happens even with an unmodded game.
 

Another note: They do what I tell them to do, except for follow. Meaning I have to literally point on the ground and press a button to get them to go ANYWHERE.
