[Solved] Alternate Armor Textures Issue After Body Conversion

I have recently been dabbling in armor/clothing conversion to BHUNP since apparently almost all the ones I use haven't had any conversions. While doing some of Melodic's armors I noticed that the "Xtra" versions of the chest pieces of these armors were still using the non skimpified version and it is only the chest pieces. The pants, boots, and w/e else with "Xtra" version don't have this issue. This has only happened to a few of the Melodic's armors I've done personal conversions for (After School, Fantasy Samurai, and Hestia so far).

Does anyone know what causes this to happen and how to potentially fix it? I haven't changed anything else and just did the conversion. I assume it is some bizarre mismatching issue and the texture just doesn't get applied.

If the armor swapped textures using texture sets then the order of nodes in the nif is important. You can fix it in nifskope or ck whatever is faster for you, nifskope is often faster becuase you just have to move the node postion up or down ( i do this to the shape data folder nif so it fixes the output files).

ck requires going to the armor addon and reassigning the correct node and updating the esp.

From what I am understanding, I would use Nifskope to move the NiNodes of the pieces of armor to match the NiNode order of the original piece of armor? Wouldn't that cause problems since BHUNP has 18 more body nodes than the original (UUNP) and it would put the armor nodes between the body nodes.

Sorry if that sounds crazy but I hardly ever touch nifskope unless I'm wanting to de-panty an armor/clothing and my recent experience in modularizing the See La Mer outfit. I mean I'm still going to try moving the nodes into the order of the original but I'm pretty sure I misunderstood what you were talking about.

Edit: I moved the order of the nodes and didn't have any success.

Edit2: Idk if this means anything, but if I manually change the texture set in nifskope to use one of the textures that is supposed to replace it, I see no errors. Theoretically I could hack my way around it if I create a zeroed slider nif of the armor through bodyslide, then use that nif as a base and swap the texture sets manually then save them as new nifs for "new" armor pieces. Of course I would have to also make a modified esp to have it point to the new pieces.

Edit 3: I managed to fix it. Apparently moving the body reference in outfit studio to the top fixed it.
