[Help] Learning How to Create HDT Hair?

Hi there. Long time lurker, never actually posted before (forgive me if I do something wrong lmfao). I was wondering if anyone could help me learn the basics of HDT PE? I'm extremely interested in the process (and I'd like to add HDT to a hairstyle I have), but I find that a lot of tutorials or guides are geared towards people who know the lingo, and have a detailed understanding of various programs used, which .. I don't really. I'm a very seasoned modder, and I'd like to add "can do HDT" to my repertoire, but I can't seem to figure out where to begin.

It should be noted that I do not have access to 3DSMax. I do however, have Blender, and am semi-comfortable with how it works. I hear that HDT is possible in Blender, but I've been unable to find any guides for it. Maybe I'm just not digging deep enough, but everything I find is geared towards Max. I am also running Oldrim, if that matters.

Any tips, links or information are highly appreciated!

I think you should forget HDT PE if you do not have access to 3DSMax, you just can not do it easily without Havok tools.

You can consider using HDT SMP instead. In this case all you need to do is create bones, rig the mesh and export the mesh (I have read somewhere this could be a problem as nif import/export tool is not always working proprely).

Then you can create SMP XML by yourself. The only problem with that is the SMP does not support hairs so it would have to be a wig. This will also make it easy to convert to Special Edition.
