.hkx importer for Blender- progress?

I was wondering if anyone knew whether or not people were working on an .hkx plugin for blender. I know there's hkxcmd which can convert .hkx's to .kf's, but that's only for vanilla skeletons. I've been wanting to do some bbb animations, but I can't do those in Blender yet, and I'm not too crazy about learning another program like 3dsmax since I've gotten really  used to Blender. Not to mention the difficulties I would have getting 3ds max, since I'm not a student and I don't really want to spend 3.5 grand just to mod a video game.

 

So does anyone know if there's any progress with people creating such a plugin? Is it so long off that I'm better off learning 3ds max instead of waiting?
