xxxagent Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Has anyone experienced an issue with Video Camera Saved States recently? I avoid using the key 9 (as it also raises objects), so I use keys 6 through 8 as a camera save state for story telling. This morning it was working fine, then suddenly it started bugging out, pressing the key that I had saved a state to makes the camera look at the floor, If I press it again it reverts to a position that I had not saved. I have tried repairing the Sims 4, reverting to an older saved game, even uninstalling recent cc (none of which should affect camera) it works once, then when I try to view a saved camera it bugs out again. Any help appreciated. I only use the Sims 4 to create storys, so this is really demotivating me at the moment!
PECO Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 @xxxagent it goes haywire from time to time, don't know either what makes it do it. have you tried deleting the VideoCamera.ini file from path The Sims 4\Game\Bin\res\ ? (if deleted, it gets recreated at startup so no worries) when i have the "looking at the floor bug", i try to adjust the camera position a little bit (up/down/left/right whatever), and save the camera again... that (sometimes) fixes the issue.

I had tried deleting both the ini and the entire folder, to no joy! Will try the repositioning trick. Thanks.

Readjusting / trying different angles they saved. You have no idea what drastic measures I have been taking to get it fixed. I use Buckleys mod, so saving really low or tight to object camera states must make it bug out. Suppose for future fancy shots all I need to do is find the sweet spot for it to work.
