Help with NPCs and furniture

I've had this issue in the past and still do, but it seems like NPCs don't want to stay in zaz furniture and will exit the furniture when I stop the "I need you to do something command" or shortly after? I use the mod "I'll take the display model" which works really well and I like it, but I would like to start using all the furniture from the home/dungeon mods I've downloaded. Is this just the way it is or am I messing something up? lol
