darkshaw Posted July 23, 2020 Posted July 23, 2020 So basically i'm new to the realm of sims 4 modding (or better to say i never played it before other than trying in the last few weeks) so i have some questions hoping you fellow men of culture can help answer: 1 I downloaded a lot of CC and animations suggested by WW site and put it into the mods folder following the instructions in each page however i started doubting i made a mistake are a lot of animations compatible with each other? Example a bj from one pack and another? 2 Wont there be some error and how do i detect it ? 3Also i noticed some cc are presets what does that mean? Will 2 presets of the same kind example feet from different modders conflict each other one i put them in mod folder? 4 Is there a way to make WW a bit harder and related to emotional response ? 5 Can i use at the same time WW and Meaningful Stories to make the interactions more balanced? 6 In WW do i need to example Date the girl first like make her more attracted to me or just raw sex? cause i would prefer to make it more realistic interactions  Sorry for my atrocious grammar and maybe some stupid question i made i know i should inform myself from other posts tutorials etc and i tried but just become more confused. Thank you for your understanding and help in advance GD!

Thank you for your understanding and help in advance GD! I can answer some but not all of your questions. MODS :> Changes the way the game reacts, adds new abilities, such has skills or careers or even things you ca do. Usually includes a .ts4script file. CC :> Basicly just add new items or additional color choices to items already in the game.   ANIMATIONS: Animations are resources much like Clothing. Just has you can have a lot of the same type/style of shor/top/swimsuit, you can have a lot of the same types of animations, such has BJ, without them conflicting. (If the animators did their job right that is, which most do.) Like clothing they each have their own unique resource id and within the resource is a tag saying what it is. When WW needs a BJ animation it will choose one of the animations with a BJ flag.  ERRORS: Yes, sometimes you are going to have problems with CC. A lot of MODS like MCCC and WW and NWP and though most are specificly looking for conflicts with them, they can and do help to trace down conflicts resulting from other CC and mods. They are not easy to read though. Sometimes it easy to find the conflict/problem, sometimes not. And when one of these mods do generate a LE, they let you know in game and you can find help in the indivial mods descussion threads to solve the problem. Sometimes it is just a simple matter of you having updated either the game or another mod but not it. Or updated it but not other mods or the game. The most important part of all is: READ THE INSTALL/REQUIREMENT sections of any mod/cc you want to install carefully and fully.  Just for a laugh: Sometime the conflict may not even be between TS4 or your mods or CC. Just after I reinstalled and started playing yhe Sims 4 again after a long break, I installed a lot of mods and cc. Now I rarely ever need to drop down and use the cheats window since there are so many mods out there that can do it for you. One day I did need to though and I could not get the window to open. It was frustrating. In the end I gave up. It was not really needed, I just wanted to test something out. I eventually discovered the problem and it was nothing to do with TS$ or my Mods or CC. It was another utility I have installed called ClipVue. Now I just got to remember not to have it running if I need to use the cheat window.  Has far has finding problem CC. That can be a lot harder. Most use what is called the 50/50 way. When you do start having trouble and you suspect it is with your CC you just exit the game and pull out all of you CC (clothing/makeup/furniture/etc) put ;eave your mods in. Then you restart the game, go back in and check to see if the problem is gone. If so you know that is in some of your CC. exit the game without saving. Add back on half of your CC. Restart game. Problem returns, exit without saving. Remove half of what you had re-installed. Try game again. This will slowly allow you to narrow down the problem CC.  Presets: Some presets may conflict with others. Just read the instructions/notes/changelog of each carefully. Most mods/cc/presets will list any conflicts known to excist with others.  Configuring WW: WW has an extensive amount of configuring that can be done. It even has a web page explaining it all. Check it out. I do believe he link to it is on the download web page and if not, I do know the link to WW Home site is.  I am not aware of any conflicts between WW and MS. Just read the MS page. Most modders try not to conflict with each other, sometimes it happens and they'll try and resolve and correct the issues. Sometimes it can not be. Of you find the mod here on Lovers Lab, then most likely the modder try hard not to conflict with WW because it is such a popular mod.  Unless you using other mods which allow for you to just jump into sex, yes, you still have to build a relantionship. Sex is just an alternative to WooHoo with it's own animations and more locations. (Note, if an asperation says WooHoo to complete, use WooHoo, not Have Sex.)  I hope what I have written helps and if not, I am sure others here will be chimeing in with their thoughts and suggestions.  A few suggestions. Go into Origin and select the Origin menu at the top and select Application Settings. On the Application tab, scroll down till the find the Client update section. Change automatic Game Updates to OFF. This causes Origin NOT to automaticly update the games in your library. (I wish they would allow for a game by game choice of this.) Now when ever an update comes out, a black bar will appear at the bottom of the Game Library image letting you there is an update. For your other games, like PvZ:GW, just right click on the game omage and choose update. It will also pop up a warning if you try to run the game letting you know. For you other games, again like PvZ:GW2, just click accept. For TS4, don't. You do not want to update your game all of your important, or core mods, those you do not or can not play without have been either tested and confirm to still be good, or been update for the new patch. Has each is update, download the new version but do not install, have it ready at hand. One all of these core mods have been check either cleared or update, THEN update TS4 and install the new versions. Like today, a NEW UPDATE has been released. (I think it is prep for the new Knitting Stuff Pack about to be released.) You will still be able to play your TS4 game without updating. And in my experence, you can usually still connect to the online Gallery.  Also, be aware which mods are dependent on others. A lot of times update one mod, like WW, can have an effect on others which depend on it. I have several like that so when ever a new version of WW is released, before I update it, I check the others to see if they are still good or have updates themselves. This can take a few days has the other modders scramble to adjust their mods to work with the new version if something in theirs do break because of the WW update.  Also, if you are having problems with a specific mod, just go to that mod download page and select the Get Support button which will take you into that's mod support thread and let people there know. Be sure and explain what the problem is, and if you have a LE, post it. Of no LE, then list the version of the mod you have, your game version, and any other important modes you might have and their versions, such has WW, or in your case, MS has well.  For me, and believe for most everyone else, the most important mods of all are: MCCC & WW. For me TwistedMexi Better Exceptions and The Sims 4 lastException Assistant are very important has well. (Just a note, the The Sims 4 lastException Assistant is a web page you can upload LE's too that can sometimes help ID problems and not a mod. Not all LE's are readable by it though.) All other mods fall under them. Â

If you have auto updates turned off and it will not let you play until you update, Go up to the Origin Menu in Origin and Select Go Offline wait a moment a moment or two and then it will allow you to play TS4 in offline mode without updating.
