Decèdere Posted July 20, 2020 Posted July 20, 2020 I created a custom Race by basically copying other mods and reading various tutorials. I have it all working and even have SOS compatibility, but one problem remains: Armor. Assuming I have all of the vanilla armor rebuilt with body slide for the custom body I'm using, how would I set it up in the CK to use those armors for my Race? I haven't really messed with it yet today so I'm asking prematurely, but perhaps some assistance here would help expedite the process. In other Race mods they set up a second Race called ArmorRace, and then in the main Race object they reference this ArmorRace under the "Armor race" dropdown. I'm not sure what this accomplishes exactly. I'm just not sure how to tell the CK, "Hey, this is where the armors are located, please use them for my custom Race." This stuff isn't covered in tutorials because they all use vanilla assets.
Decèdere Posted July 21, 2020 Author Posted July 21, 2020 Bump I've been googling my ass off and coming up with nothing. Almost like the answer must be obvious and I'm an idiot. I did switch to using an ArmorRace but I'm sure that's completely irrelevant to my issue. Edit: I understand I can duplicate all of the armor addons, restricting them to my race and pointing them to the corresponding custom armor NIFs, then add them to their respective Armor objects, keeping the original vanilla AAs in there too. This seems to be a solution, but I'm looking at a custom race mod that has all custom armor and does not appear to do it this way, so I had assumed there must be an easier/quicker solution.
Swe-DivX Posted July 22, 2020 Posted July 22, 2020 Are your new race human? Easiest is to add new negative sliders CBBE or UUNP. And add the new sliders to RaceMenuMorphsUUNP.psc. Then use bodygen to activate the sliders on the race. Now the race can use all armors.
