CoolasWhat Posted July 17, 2020 Posted July 17, 2020 Hello, Now that we have mods like dynamic animation replace, I figured now would be a great time if we could get some custom animations for when NPC are caught on fire. Personally, it breaks my immersion when someone says their on fire, run around a bit, then they go right back to fighting, but I guess other games have spoiled me. It'd be cool if we had something where maybe they run around flailing their arms while on fire, until they eventually drop, burn a bit, and then die. We could even build some mechanics around this so there's a chance they're caught on fire after a certain period of being hit with fire (so they have to actually catch on fire for it to occur). We could have varying degrees, so that adding more flames keeps them in the state until they sort of keep catching on fire themselves unless they , for example, went into a stream, or got hit with a frost spell etc. The same could extend to the other elements like how we see in other games. People who get electrocuted might actually tense up a bit while standing, and then fall down, shake on the ground a bit, and if the animation keeps going, We could have a simple death animation. But then maybe hitting someone who just died with elcricity enough has a small chance to revive them. Could do the same with frost, and so forth. The basic idea is that this could open up a lot of possibilities for both immersion and combat. Is there anything like this that already exists?
