I really wished to use a mod like FCOM for fallout 4 , and all things point to Mixed Units Tactics https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/57589/? , the problem is, that it isnt ported to SSE, there is a brief explanation in the comments , but i never done porting , and didnt work for me (my game crashes or inf loading) so can someone do it, or if its against the rules, to explain me step by step what i need to do to successfully port it.

I ported it for my personal use and it works fine. Normally it doesn't conflict with any mods (not for me).

I can post my port here but I would be better if you learned porting mods because it will be very useful in the long run.

1) Download creation kit (CK). If you don't know how to its very simple just watch a 2 mins YouTube video.

2) Download mixed unit tactics (LE) manually from the nexus.

3) Now open the downloaded mixed unit tactics and extract it to a folder. Copy the mixedunit.esp to your skyrim data folder, which will be in your skyrim special edition game folder (the location where the game is installed).

4) Go to the skyrim special edition game folder and you will see creation kit (you will see it if properly installed). Open CK (creation kit).

5) Once the CK is open go to the top left pane and click data and select the plug-ins here select the skyrim.esm, update.esm and mixedunit.esp. While you click on the mixedunit.esp there will a option your left to "set as active file" click that. Then proceed to open, it may take a while to load.

6) There will be several warnings in CK don't work just click yes to all everytime. After everything finally opens go to the top left side you will see a save button( save icon) just click it and it will take a little time and your esp will be saved. Just save it twice to be sure and don't touch any other things in the ck.

7) Go the skyrim special edition data folder where you copied your mixedunit.esp and check in its file properties for last updated if it's the same time as saved in the above step then you did it. You converted the esp.

8) copy the mixedunit.esp to the extracted folder and replace the old mixedunit.esp. Then repack the whole file with winrar or 7 zip and use your mod manager to install the mod.

It's basically a simple conversion, scripts should work fine with skse.

If you still can't get it to work or unable to port reply to this message I will share my mixed unit tactics port with you here.

Good luck

Even I had ctd when trying out my own ports, but mixed unit tactics didn't give me a problem . Try testing your mixed unit port with a new game ( just for testing purpose), here try disabling all your other mods except mixed unit tactics because some mods might have conflicted in your previous try. Better if you use mod maneger 2 then create a new profile with only the mixed unit tactics enabled.

By the way is your updated and matches with the updated skse ?

Tell me if you need my ported mod I will post it here, but I honestly don't want your efforts of porting to go into waste.

Hope you get it tested successfully.

Someone sayd UI extensions can be a problem, atleast for Sexlab Tools it is, but even if I disable it still no go for my ported mod and SLtools , can you please upload your version, because i think maybe there will be mod conflict, I just need to know its not my fault :D

Even I have UI extensions and had no conflicts but I don't have sex lab so I can't be sure about this.

What happened in the testing with new game and no mods enabled (except for the mixed unit tactics. I'm curious

Anyways I shared my port, test it like I told above which will reveal if the problem is in the ported mod or something else.

Let me know if it works ?

UGHhh yours worked.... maybe i know what happened, You said to select skyrim.esm update.esm and mixedunit.esp.   but when your port loaded it says something with dragonborn.. maybe you I had to select and the expansion? I;ll save your port becouse its a gem, but ill continue to try to port it myself.
Thanks for everything, for the simple explanation and sharing your work.

Glad it worked. Oh I think I missed a tip, when you click on any mod esp while selecting in the data pane in will show its required esm or esp in the right pane.

But I did not really remember the required esm for mixed unit tactics because I ported it long back.

Anyway glad my port actually helped someone.
