Invisible file

Recommended Posts

Was trying to get a game working by following advice to make a copy of XINPUT1_3.dll, change it to XINPUT1_4.dll and put it in the game folder (new game version suddenly requires XINPUT1_4.dll to launch). By mistake I accidently copied it to the System32 folder (which I had open to make a copy of the XINPUT1_3.dll). Problem is the file doesn't show up in the folder despite Windows 7 insisting the file is there and the game just ends up stating it can't start up correctly. And yes I do have the folder option selected to show hidden files and folders.
