Randomly undressed corpses?

Wow... this is an odd bug to to try and get to the bottom of.

 

I've tried this with no mods installed, so i'm almost certains its not monkey business on the behalf of a modder.

 

Its pretty rare, but without amount of dead people you run into ingame it ends up pretty common, if that makes any sense. And occasionally its thematically fitting. But still i'd prefer it didn't happen without my say-so.

 

In the bandit hideout near where you first come out of Helgen, there is supposed to be a dead woman witha knfe in her back. When I found her,
she was in just her underwear and the dagger was floating in mid air. As was the other woman downstairs. I've also found the same in a few other
dungeons, male a female, with weapons, hats and shoes still equipped, but no torse clothing/armor. I've actually had it happen upon changng
areas to enemies i've killed; going for the Horn of Jurgen Windcaller I killed the bandits just outside as they attacked me, and didn;t loot
them as they were just bandits, yet when I came back out I found them undressed.

 

Now, there are three possibilities.

 

1. Delphine is a perv, and didn't just take the horn.

2. I've had a thief/ghost shadowing me since Helgen that goes through clothing at an alarming rate.

 

Or 3, there is something screwy somewhere.

This has actually happened to me as well, but only when I've had Warzones installed. Often I'd find both Stormcloak and Imperial soldiers, male and female, dead and stripped naked around the combat zones. I figured it was just possibly other NPCs looting corpses, but I've found these stripped bodies before fighting has even started. I have no idea how this happens, but you're not alone.

It could be that one of the NPC killed the victim and then looted the corpse. Oblivion was like that but would only take items with value or a high defence rating. That's what it most likely is.

I get the same thing...  but, I can still search the "nude" npcs, and they seem to always have their stuff on them and equiped.

 

Yup, equiped, but the gear isn't showing.

does they have the armor on their inventory and is not equipped or its simple not there?

Its generally still in their inventories, as noted above.^^ Guess its pretty common.
