Make NPC from a armor set?

I've just got a idea when looking at this armor, of making it the body (skin) of a robot npc.

The idea would be to have it as the skin of the npc, so that the player could not loot it. Some retexture could make it looks like a dwemer automaton.

However, parts of it are not covered, like the upper thigh, for example. How could I fill those parts in the CK?

Would it be possible to export a set from the Outfit Studio mixed together with the reference body, then use it as the skin for the npc? If so, how to do it?

You can edit the nif of the body parts that show and change shader settings and give it a different texture. For example... https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/69299

is just body mesh but different shader flags and textures.

 

For npc to use it as body you add it as the worn armor in the npc data instead of adding it as an armor that is equipped, also if you did want to make it equippable you add flags non-playable to the armor and player can not take it but I would set it as worn armor  so it cannot be removed.
