Guest Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 Hey, I've been a saxophonist (primarily alto) for about 10 years and I love playing video game music or other selections (careless whisper is the best non video game one IMHO) but there's this one tune, a tuney tune, that tunes very tunely, that has eluded me for several years. The name: Bob-omb Battlefield from SM64. I loved the song to death (along with the other tune that goes really fast and plays in certain levels like the clock world or the sky world). I'd KILL (jk) if I could get my hands on it. So, does anyone know where I can find this lovely tuney-tuney-tune-tune song for the alto sax pl0x?
Guest flingingfeces Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 Dude that's awesome I play Alto as well. I'm looking for ya man, but all I can find is the trumpet version and even the Jazz versions that are out there don't include parts for sax. I might have to write it myself which could take some time, but I'll give it a go.
Guest Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 Awesome, it's sweet meeting another saxophonist on a forum like this! Hmm, are there any music creating programs (program that allows you to record the sheet music of a song on the computer) you know of? I was thinking, I've never used one myself before but what if we took the trumpet part and "convert" it to alto sax. It doesn't matter what the part looks like (it'll contain all cool parts of the tune of course), embellishment can be added later. Is that possible? That's all I can really think of right now. ...Jazz versions with no sax? Damn, that's kinda sad.
Guest flingingfeces Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 This is what I use http://www.finalemusic.com/SongWriter/Default.aspx Also here's a few sheets of Mario music for ya. http://www.mariomayhem.com/downloads/sheet_music/super_mario_64/mario_64-sheet_music.php Most sheet music is in .mus format so you'll need something like Final Reader to open it. http://www.finalemusic.com/reader/default.aspx
